Ron Partlow: Canadian Bridesmaid

Big Ron Partlow, weighing in at 263lbs, was the first runner up in the super heavies for the umpteenth time at the 2010 CBBF Nationals back on August 14.



Partlow has lost the his class at the CBBF Nationals to such current IFBB pros as Fouad Abiad (2006), Ben Pakulski (2008) and Mike Van Wyck (2009) so the phrase "always the bridesmaid never the bride" quickly comes to mind. The one year that Partlow won the super heavy class (in 2007 when he beat out Pakulski) he lost that year's pro card to middleweight Vince Wawryk.

Partlow will compete at the North Americans in Cleveland Labor Day weekend, where he hopes to come in tighter anf fuller! In the meantime the following shots are from a 2009 photo shoot with Anita Robicheau:

Mark Richman: CBBF Heavyweight 4th

After winning the heavies at the Canadian Nationals in 2009 (super Mike Van Wyck was awarded the pro card), 32 year old Mark Richman fell to an unfortunate 4th at this year's show.



On his Facebook page Mark thanked his friends and fans for their support and wrote:

"I think I made great improvements this year but didn't receive my desired result? I made some mistakes on stage which I take full responsiblity for! Santana was amazing out there so a "Big congrats to him", he deserved it! As for me I have some revaluating to do? I really ...put everything I had and more into this prep, thats why it really stings right now..."



These pictures show Mark's preparation for the Nationals just 3 days out of the competition. They were posted by him after the show. Below are Mark's own bathroom mirror shots at 3 weeks and 5 weeks respectively (yesterday's Sunday Worship was Mark at 4 and a half weeks out). He looked pretty spectacular!





Mark will be back, gunning for his pro card, in 2011!!!

Todd Jewell: North Americans

Super heavy Todd Jewell did a lot in 2009, he won the Los Angeles Championships in July, came in 4th at the North Americans, didn't place at the USA, and then finished 9th at the Nationals in November weighing in at 259lbs.

Here is the big man posing after an arm workout, a week or so go, then 6 weeks out of the 2010 IFBB North American Championships. He tipped the scales at 285lbs!

Vinny Galanti: Web Site Added!

I'm in the process of updating the links to the official sites of the big guys (over on the right hand side of the page) and have today just included the likes of Troys Tate and Brown, along with 43 years old Vinny Galanti, who has been competing in the 202 and Masters divisions of the pro ranks the last couple of years, which included a championship win at the 2008 NPC Masters National Championships!
